Drinks On Us (DOU) is a premium beverage catering company that provides professional bartenders and fully stocked bars to deliver a bustling atmosphere for all events located in Egypt. DOU is synonymous for it’s attention to detail starting from the contemporary silhouettes of their glassware, all the way through to their creative menus and innovative tech savvy monitoring system. DOU doesn’t believe in a one size fits all approach, that’s why we offer customized quotations to suit individual needs.

What We Offer

For the first time ever in Egypt, an online bar monitoring system has been brought to you by DOU to ensure that the client is constantly aware of any bar activity during the event, as well as a full report at the completion of the event.

How the System Works

Clients are simply given login details on DOU’s website before the event to confirm event inventory such the amount of bottles provided. DOU allows accessibility during the event for the client to monitor the number of bottles consumed just by a click of a button. Through this system, clients are in full control of their items.


DOU offers a tasting session which includes a plethora of cocktails for clients to select their favourites & create their own custom made menu for their special event. Remember you are what you drink, choose wisely.


The Story of Cheers

There are usually two stories affiliated with the origination of “cheers.” The first story goes like this; long ago, kings and queens would gather around with their lords and ladies to have glamorous feasts with lots of wine. Everyone would clank their drinks together and say, “long live the King! Long may he reign!”

Whenever kings would invite other kings over to their castle, they would toast one another and bang their cups together, which would cause their drinks to spill in one another’s cups. The kings did that to ensure that if one drink was poisoned by another king, then they’d both suffer the same fate.

The second story is a bit lighter, and is more philosophical. When we drink, we use only four senses; we smell the alcohol, we taste it, we see it, and we feel it. When we clink our glasses together and say, “cheers,” then we will have used all our five senses; which enhances the drinking experience.

The Story of "Cocktails"

Cocktails are traditionally thought of as an American innovation. However, the term "cocktail" was first ever been seen in a British newspaper printed in March of 1798. The term wasn’t really defined as we know it until 1806. It was inspired by British punches—big bowls of spirits mixed with fruit juice, spices, and other flavors, consumed in punch houses in the 18th century.

When a mixed drink contains only a distilled spirit and a mixer, such as soda or fruit juice, it is called a "highball". When a mixed drink contains only a distilled spirit and a liqueur, it is a "duo", and when it adds a mixer, it is a "trio". Mixed drinks without alcohol that resemble cocktails are known as "mocktails" or "virgin cocktails".

The first publication of a bartenders' guide which included cocktail recipes was in 1862 – How to Mix Drinks; or, The Bon Vivant's Companion, by "Professor" Jerry Thomas. His signature drink was the blue blazer, which involved lighting whiskey and tossing it back and forth between two mixing glasses.
